15 th POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT (PGDRDM): JANUARY-DECEMBER 2018
National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) is a premier national center of excellence in rural development. NIRDPR announces its Fifteenth fully residential One-year Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM)’ with an aim to create a committed and competent cadre of rural development professionals in the country. The programmeseeks to impart management techniques that will enhance the understanding of the paradigm and practice of rural development.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognised University. Students who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before
- 1st January, 2018, may also apply.
SELECTION PROCESS:
- Selection of candidates will be made through a process of All-India Entrance Test which will test the verbal,quantitative and analytical competencies of the students including English Language. Group Discussionand Personal Interviews will be conducted for the short-listed candidates.
ENTRANCE TEST:
- The Entrance Test will be conducted on 19.11.2017 at the following centres:
- Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Patna, Pune and Thiruvanantapuram.
- However, NIRDPR reserves the right to cancel any of the centres or add new centres for any administrative reasons and assign any other centre to the applicants.
PROGRAMME DURATION:
January2018–December2018 (One year)
COURSE FEE:
For Open / OBC CategoryRs.1.60 Lakhs(excluding boarding and lodging)
For SC/ST/PWD category Rs.1.25Lakhs(excluding boarding and lodging)
Board and Lodging: The annual board and lodging expenses will be Rs.1,00,000. Accommodation will be given to the students in the NIRDPRHostel.
Caution Deposit: A refundable Caution Deposit of Rs.10,000 is to be paid along with the First Trimester Fee.
Seat Registration Fee: Upon selection, a non-refundable
Seat Registration Fee of Rs. 25,000 should be paid by the Indian students.
This amount will be adjusted against the First Trimester Fee.
SCHOLARSHIPS:
1.Tenstudents will be eligible for NIRDPR’s Scholarship based on their performance.
2.The North Eastern Council, Shillong, will be approached forgiving fellowships to economically backward students of
North Eastern states.
RESERVATION:
Reservations for the students of the SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) and Persons with Disability (PWD) will be made as per the Government of India norms.
PLACEMENT:
NIRDPR
will make efforts for placement, but does not guarantee the same.

The applications sent by post will also be accepted through downloadable form available in our website.
The filled in online form (Hard copy) /downloaded application form should be submitted along with the
Application Fee of Rs.400/-(Rs.200/-for SC/ST and PWD candidates) through an Account Payee Demand Draft drawn in favour of NIRD-PGDRDM,
payable at Hyderabad.
The filled in application form should be sent to the Coordinator (Admissions), Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Distance Education, National Institute of Rural Development
and Panchayati Raj, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500030,
so as to reach us on or before 10.11.2017.
Last date for the submission of filled in applications from the students of North Eastern States, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep is 15.11.2017. Applications received after the last date shall not be accepted. NIRDPR reserves the right to make changes to the Diploma Programme, its design/content and the process of selection, depending upon the exigencies without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
